The class trial is the main section of the game in which the player must deduce the culprit of the crime. In school life, the player can explore the school grounds in the first-person view, interact with the other students, take classes, and complete a series of objectives to progress.
It consists of multiple chapters, and each chapter features two different styles of gameplay, School Life and Class Trails. The gameplay revolves around the investigation and finds contradictions with an emphasis on faster gameplay.
The game casts the player in the role of Makoto Naegi, a student of Hope’s Peak Academy, who trapped himself in a game of mutual killing among his students. Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc is an Adventure-based, Visual-Novel, Single, and Multiplayer video game developed and published by Spike.
